The Entrepreneurship Center, supported by Entrepreneur Development Network, offers a 14 week micro-enterprise business course that navigates individuals through the business planning process by providing instruction on research, financial planning, marketing, operations management, organizational development, forecasting and long-range planning necessary to launch and grow a successful business.

Urban Hope offers training and technical assistance to eligible low-to-moderate individuals that educates on the principles of becoming a successful small business owner.


The business planning & development process offers attendees the following:


  • Step-by-step instruction for creating a marketable business plan
  • Instruction from successful business owners
  • Instruction from subject matter experts and industry leaders
  • Identification and use of market industry research
  • Exploration of organizational topics including: incorporation, risk management, operational structure and Human Resources
  • The opportunity to develop marketing and PR strategies
  • An in-depth examination of financial statements with banking partners
